Kangana's Dad on Hrithik Scandal: My daughter is a Rajput, she is not scared of anybody, why should this end?

Kangana Ranaut's father Amardeep is in Delhi by his daughter's side in her moment of glory. A few minutes ago, she was about to walk up the stage to receive her third National Award and he spoke to SpotboyE.

Said Mr Ranaut, "Honestly, I didn't expect that Kangana will reach so far in her career. We are so proud of her, maybe she is the result of some good deeds which we did in our last birth. She is just 28 and getting her third National Award. I don't think that any actress has won three such honours at such a young age. Her mom (Asha) and I are extremely happy. I just can't wait for this moment to unfold."



Dwelling on Kangana's movies, he said, "I have seen all her films and I think she has only grown as an actress and gone from strength to strength. So if you're going to ask me to name her best performance, it would be the most difficult question to answer."



But would it be easy if we quickly ask him his views on the Hrithik-Kangana scandal? SpotboyE was the first to break the story and the controversy continues to make headlines on its 50th day as well. Replied Mr Ranaut, "Whatever is happening is very ghatiya. But we are not scared of anybody. Don't forget that we are Rajputs. I believe that if somebody throws keechad at us, it will bounce back on his/her face."

What about her fair share of detractors who are slowly but surely springing up to voice their opinion? Amardeep shot back, "I have advised her to live like an elephant, let anybody say anything."

But had Kangana kept him in the know about the Hrithik fiasco, right from the day the Koi Mil Gaya actor sent her a legal notice? "Kangana does not hide anything from her parents. She had very much kept us in the loop. We are with her in this. She is not alone. Besides, we have a good lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee, who knows how to handle the ups and downs in this imbroglio."



Hrithik Roshan has leaked some mails which Kangana allegedly wrote to him saying that she was suffering from Asperger's syndrome and imagining that she was in love with him. "Those who feel that my daughter imagines things are only those who imagine things themselves. Some people are just jealous of my daughter's progress and growth in the industry- that's it," Amardeep quipped. 

Did he ever feel in her growing up years that she has any kind of problem which led her to imagine things? "Kya baat kar rahen hai aap? Not at all. Do you think Kangana would have won 3 National Awards then?"



Did he get scared when the police landed up at Kangana's house the other day to record her statement? "Definitely not. I was very much there in the house. We co-operated with the cops by telling them all that they wanted to know and they left on a good note."

Would he like this fiasco to end now? It's been nearly 2 months. "Why would I want it to end simply? It should end only when the truth is out. Kangana is fighting it out and shall continue to do so. The world should get to know only the truth," said Amardeep emphatically.

Mr and Mrs Ranaut will be returning to Mumbai with Kangana. Mr Ranaut is expected to return to Himachal after a brief stay with his daughter. "My wife is mostly in Mumbai for a large part of the year," he concluded.
